One of our goals for 2018 is to create a new Sand Creek Greenway map to distribute to the public, and we want YOUR input and ideas! Our staff and volunteers are holding four MAP Input PARTIES to invite public participation.
The parties are:
Tuesday, January 9, at CUBA CUBA in the Northfield neighborhood of Denver (4:30-7)
Monday, January 29, at Panera in Aurora (4-8)
Tuesday, February 20, at Eagle Pointe Recreation Center in Commerce City (4:30-7:30)
and one more date in Denver, to be scheduled
The initial input we’ve received indicates you want ideas of things to see and do on the Greenway (including activities for kids and families), better directions on how to get to the trail and trail heads, places near the trail where you can get food and drink, and images of wildlife that can be seen and heard from the trail!
Thanks to generous seed funding from Suncor, we’ll be printing and distributing 20,000 copies of the map later in the year; and we’ll look to friends and advertisers to cover the rest of the costs. Most of all, we want to create a map YOU’LL use and will help you discover the great places along our Greenway.
