Looking for something to do on Saturday, December 1? Look no further as we have two great activities for you to support the Greenway.
First, our last big volunteer workday of the year begins at 10 am at Morrison Nature Center/Star K Ranch in Aurora. We’ll begin the day with breakfast items and snacks and set to work on projects identified by city staff–habitat restoration and/or trail upkeep or development. Volunteers–and all are welcome–families (kids over 5, please), individuals, groups–work until noon. It is amazing what can get done in just a couple of hours! Then, we’ve been selected by the Bike Shop Girl Family Cyclery to be a beneficiary (along with the statewide advocacy nonprofit, Bicycle Colorado) of their #bikeshopday festivities. The shop is owned and operated by a Stapleton-based mom at 10255 E. 25th Unit A1, Aurora, CO.
Bike Shop Day is an international day to celebrate the unique connection between independent bike shops and our community.
The day’s schedule includes:
Events throughout the day:
• 10-10:30 am Women’s bike mechanic workshop
• 1-2:30 pm Family Friendly Bike Ride
• 2:30 – 3 pm Pizza & Food Arrive
• 3 pm – Raffle drawing, you do not have to be present to win
