Aurora is undertaking a stormwater improvement project meant to prevent flood damage in the future. As our cities grow, infrastructure projects like this are required to protect homes and businesses. The area around Sand Creek Park and our Greenway is expected to be affected for about six weeks.
A detour is in place, although this is an active construction site, and the exact placement of possible pathways around the work may shift from time to time. More about the project is available online, and a map of the detour is below:
