After almost a year, the Quebec to Central Park Blvd Bridge segment of our Greenway in Denver reopened on May 22, and immediately trail users walked, bicycled and ran to the area to see the water control pond and new trail surfaces in that section.
The project was approved seven years ago. It will take some time before landscaping work is completed, so more improvements are coming. Until new plants can take hold, we ask everyone to keep to the designated trail surfaces.
Another very brief closure:

Today, we received notice from Commerce City that two paved sections of the Greenway need to be replaced, forcing a closure of the trail around the Dahlia trailhead, Thursday, May 28 through midday Friday, May 29. The closures will take place approximately 1 mile east of the Dahlia trailhead, and approximately 50 yards west of the Dahlia trailhead parking lot. As there is not enough clearance in those areas, an alternate route is not possible, and the trail will be closed during this time. We fully expect the trail to reopen as planned by midday, Friday, May 29.
