We are thrilled to announce a new program for readers–our nature book club starting in October–a partnership program with City of Aurora Parks, Recreation and Open Space. Two options are available to readers: an in-person club meeting at Morrison Nature Center at Star K Ranch on the Greenway in Aurora (on October 10) , and a virtual club option via Zoom (on October 14). Both options are free, though registration is required.

Trees are the theme for October; the first book we’ll read is The Overstory by Richard Powers, a best-seller and winner of the 2019 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction and many other honors.

We’ve created a reading guide with discussion questions, a “book flight” of other great books about trees, video and “experience” recommendations.  Download it here!

To Register:
Go to www.AuroraGov.Org/Nature, Click the “Click Here To Register for Nature Programs”, Select “Morrison Nature Center “or Search “Bookworm”

We’re grateful for our partnership with the City of Aurora Parks, Recreation and Open Space for developing this program with us. Thanks to our city partner, Kristin Memmott, City of Aurora Natural Resource Specialist for leading the club with our Executive Director, Beth Nobles.
