We are pleased to announce a special walking volunteer day with the help of our friends with Walk2Connect on Saturday morning, April 20!

We’ll be walking 5.5 miles through our three cities, including Bluff Lake Nature Center, picking up trash and dispersing the milkweed seed bombs we’ve been making all year!
This is a free opportunity to celebrate Earth Day and support the health of our Sand Creek Greenway trail.
Registration is required, and all the details (including a link to register) is on this page.
As we’ll be celebrating milkweed and this plant’s special relationship with monarch butterflies, the day will start with a talk by The Butterfly Pavilion’s Kathryn Hokamp. We’ll walk through the Wetland Park area of Commerce City, through the Denver section and into Bluff Lake Nature Center and end our 5.5 mile journey at Aurora’s Sand Creek Park.
Come join us!
